curlingfan11
Any places to buy bison tubes in Canada? I know they have some at MEC, but is there anywhere else? Quote Link to comment

curlingfan11
Do you have a nearby drug store chain? Here, CVS and Rite Aid both have a couple different varieties. They're simply called pill fobs here. Mostly, is Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. I haven't seen any bison tubes there but I'll check. Quote Link to comment

That's weird, I looked at over a dozen "bison tubes" pages on ebay, and none were from bison designs. - Maybe it's like all tissues are kleenex... They were supposedly the originators of the design, but I believe it might be just the name, as my great-Grandfather had a "pill fob" more than forty years ago. Quote Link to comment
+van der Decken
Try Lee Valley. They have them in red and green. Quote Link to comment
+T.D.M.22
Do NOT get them at MEC or Atmosphere. What they're selling for up to $13 we can buy for $5. Lee Valley has some smaller ones. What I've seen on the drugstores are just the plastic pill containers. You could buy them from a geocaching shop. Try Geowyrms at http://stores.geowyrm.com/ they're a Canadian store. I can't speak for shipping time and costs as I live close by and get them directly, but they have a good selection of caching stuff. Quote Link to comment
+L0ne.R
Most of the bison tubes I've found had wet moldy logs inside. They are also an irritant. The logscroll is a bother to remove and put back. A pain to unfurl. The little logsheet fills up fast. Instead of bison tubes buy Coghlan's Match Boxes: You can get them at Canadian Tire for $1.79. They are good quality containers. They are small and easy to hide. And there's more room for a bigger logscroll. You can wrap the logsheet around a cut-down pencil that will easily fit in the cache. A little pencil in the cache is a nice touch. Buy some black duct tape at the dollar store to cover up the orange. You can fasten some wire around it to hang it - an added bonus in Canadian winters. Do not buy the dollar store knock-offs. The o-ring is cheap. The dollar store knock-off container is not water tight. Quote Link to comment
