+Arizona KGB
I created a pocket query and downloaded it to my GPS. I named the PQ. None of the geocache names appear on my GPS, only the the name of the PQ. All the other information is there. I have no idea how to get the GC names to appear or what I am doing wrong. Any ideas on how to correct this? Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
Knowimg what GPS you have would be a great help. Assuming it is a Garmin touchscreen , set the profile for geocaxhing ans press the treasure xhest icon. Then find a cache. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
Knowimg what GPS you have would be a great help. This, and also how you downloaded it to your GPS. For example, if you loaded it into a piece of software and then used that to load them into your GPS, we'll need to know that too. Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
I created a pocket query and downloaded it to my GPS. I named the PQ. Any ideas on how to correct this? Has this worked before? The PQ (after you unzip it) typically has two files, each with ".GPX" extensions. On a Garmin, the GPX files are placed in the /GPX folder, so the GPSr can read the files. How are you viewing "the name of the PQ"? If it's the file name on a PC, that's correct. You won't see individual GPX files, they're all combined in a GPX Pocket Query file (and there's that separate waypoints GPX file, too). You then start the GPSr and see the list of Geocaches.
