Feature request: Quickview page: disabled/needs maintenance caches

Recently I came across a cache of mine that needed maintenance that I had forgotten about. Which made me realise that this is a place where geocaching.com could improve the experience for all geocachers:

Could we please have a list of my caches that need maintenance or are disabled (but not archived) in the Your Pofile > Quickview page. Already on this page is a list of Your Unpublished Disabled Caches, this would be an ideal area to place the list of caches that need some love. Like Your Unpublished Disabled Caches, this needs maintenance/disabled cache list would dissappear if it has no entries.

Yes, I can get this information for other places (my emails, external tools), but that requires me to actively go and look for it. A reminder of the Quickview page would keep these caches in mind, and thus make them less likely to be forgotten about, and thus maintained more quickly.

This would be a simple solution for Groundspeak to improve the uptime of caches, which improves the experience for everyone.

Thanks,

Tom

"Create a cache" method of identifying needs maint/disabled caches doesn't work - there is nothing to tell me to go and look. Pocket queries work better - I can send myself a pocket query once a week or so, but extracting the cache names out of the query is awkward. I think Groundspeak should make it **VERY** easy for cache owners to identify caches that need maintenance, and I think the Quickview page is the medium best suited for that.

I agree. Yes, you can see a list of your NM caches when you go to Hide a cache page, but how often do you do that? I think NM list should be front and center.

This is a reasonable idea. I've just come across the "KL" cache series. In the KL01 listing the owner asks cachers to amend the KL01 logs with comments regarding other caches in the series as he "doesn't manage to read the great amount of logs so he monitors only KL01" (translated from Czech).

The series now has Needs Maintenance flag at three out of twelve caches. Its owner seems to be responsible but he probably just doesn't know about those red wrenches. He would have to visit Owned geocaches page but be honest - how often do YOU visit that page? I do about once in a few months. As a responsible owner I would be grateful if these NM caches were displayed on the Quick view page. That would do no one harm and would help a lot of owners. We all who own caches want to know about their problems to be able to react as quickly as possible.

If you're not prepared to monitor your logs, you are not fulfilling the requirements of cache ownership. It's no more reasonable to expect finders to jump through arbitrary hoops to log things than it is to expect them to do your maintenance for you.

With that said, I do absolutely think that your caches with NM flags should show up conspicuously on the site to provide a reminder as well as the one-shot log notification.

Harry: we (owners) know that page. This thread is about adding a nag to the Quickview page in case user has caches in Needs Maintenance condition. Would be way more comfortable than to go through several pages (or long continous list) of owned caches.
