Scrooge_fan
I have done this before but can no longer remember how to do it of find the info explaining it. I know to add a photo or document to a listing it has to be located somewhere on the internet, like Photobucket or Flickr. Can anyone tell me where I can find some of the technical info regarding adding photos and using HTML in the description area? I know that there is a source for all this, but I sure can't remember where it is. I appreciate any help you can provide. Quote Link to comment

+Gan Dalf
Here's some info: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=8749&st=0&p=1113481entry1113481 the link provides good info on how to do it. Another tip: When wrting a cache page, I will often attach a photo to a reviewer note before the cache publishes. When the cache is realeased, the reviewer note will be deleted and the photo will disappear from the note along with it but since it is maintained in the database, the link to the photo in your description still works. This gives a less clutered look to the page without all of the photo icons at the bottom which is nice when you have a whole bunch of photos you want to use in the description. Quote Link to comment

+paleolith
I will often attach a photo to a reviewer note before the cache publishes. Other places to stash photos so they are on gc.com and not dependent on an external host: -- on a log on a cache page which you do not intend to publish -- on a note log, then delete the log -- on a regular note on the cache (meaning they can be viewed directly too) The last can also be a good way to give additional details which are excessive for the description, or things like initial cache contents which are interesting at the time but not ten years later (and you've surely seen old cache pages that still list the initial contents even though the container has been replaced twice). Remember that each log has its own URL, so you can link to it from the description. Edward Quote Link to comment
