the submit button does not work..

Recommended Posts

I just adopted a cache from one account to another.

1. Logged on under the account that owns the cache, go to the adoption page www.Geocaching.com/adopt/

2. enter the GC Code of the cache, click "Look Up" - site verifies your ownership

3. enter the username of the person you're sending the adoption offer to. Site looks up that name, it must be exactly a match for an registered user - or you may be asked to "Pick a User" if several names are similar, pick one, then click "Go"

4. add some text to the text pane, or not..

5. click "Send Adoption Request"

there is no "submit" button on this form

I have the same problem and chancing from Explorer to Firefox doesn't help at all. What next? - Thanks in advance.

What problem is that? The OP stated they had an issue with a "submit", but as Isonzo Karst pointed out, there is no "submit" when adopting a cache. The owner sends a request to the cacher who is adopting, and the new owner accepts the adoption.

Where is this process breaking down for you?

So: When I'd like to transfer a cache to a new owner, there's a form to fill in. And in the bottom of the form there's that sending button named "Send adoption request" which is not active - even when everything filled in correctly. So I can fill in the form but I cannot send it anywhere. So the new owner cannot get any link / email either. That's the problem.

Firefox, Windows

Aamuhaamu, the image below shows an adoption request ready to send.

When both the cache and the username have been confirmed, they show on the page as blue underlined text, links to cache and user profile.

Then the Send Adoption Request button is live.

Perhaps you're not confirming the user? I don't find the interface for that very intuitive.

If you are correctly confirming both cache and user, then I think you'll need to email staff about this.

Email from that page, Contact, and I'd called this an Account issue.
