You "should be able to" move it within a 528' ft of its current location without any problem. The reality is that such a movement may just run into a nearby cache. Check with your reviewer for this. If you need to move it over 528 ft, archive it and put out a new cache. Quote Link to comment

Editing a Published Listing: Major Change. If you need to change the coordinates beyond 0.1 miles (528 feet or 161 m), or change the type of geocache, please contact your local reviewer. The reviewer will check the changes for adherence to the current guidelines and notify you when the changes have been made, or suggest that a new geocache listing should be submitted. Please be sure to follow any instructions the reviewer may send you. There is a link to the profile page of the reviewer that reviewed your geocache listing in the bottom of your geocache page (you must be logged in). If you email a reviewer and do not receive a reply within one week, the reviewer account may be inactive and you will need to contact us at Groundspeak. contact@geocaching.com When you contact the reviewer or Groundspeak please provide the geocache name and GC Code for the listing. +The_Incredibles_
161 meters is the most you can move without a reviewers help. Even if the distance is less than this, sometimes, you may want to archive and submit a new listing, if the hide is significantly changed. Quote Link to comment

Is the relocated cache still essentially the same cache, or is it essentially a different cache? One cache can move a few feet and be essentially different. Another cache can move a quarter mile and be essentially the same. Edited March 23, 2014 by niraD Quote Link to comment

+Don_J
My personal rule on this question, does moving the cache create an entirely new experience for the cache seeker? If so, then it is a new cache and deserves a new new listing. If you are moving the same container from one pepper tree to the next one along the trail, it's the same cache. If you are taking an an Altoids tin out of a LPC in the parking lot of a park and changing it to a Lock n' Lock in the woods next to the park, it's a different cache. Quote Link to comment
+wimseyguy
I agree with Don J, it's all about changing the experience, not the actual location. If you are moving your LPC across a megalomart parking lot 600' then get the reviewer to help with the edit. If you are making a more substantial change, then archive and re-list it. +sasqwatches
It will be the same container the same wow factor just at a different location on farm should be the same experience. Depending on cover it may be within ,1 mile but it may not if the cover isnt as good as I remember it to be. Quote Link to comment
