+cadtenchy
I've tried scanning the device and memory card for all GPX and any other geocache related files and deleting them. I've been told they are in memory and stage 1 is to delete the GPX files but I cannot get to stage 2 actually deleting them off the device. I can't even delete them individually (which I don't want to do for 1000s of them) like I can with waypoints I've added. Help! Quote Link to comment
alandb
Are the geocaches saved as Favorites (saved places) or Custom POI's? If they are saved as custom POI's, they will be in a .GPI file, probably in folder \POI, so make sure you delete the .GPI file(s). If they are saved as Favorites, you can delete them from internal memory (after you have deleted the .GPX files) by going to Where To > Saved > 3 bar menu > Delete Saved Places. Also, make sure you do a full power-off reboot (Hold the power button until you get the prompt to turn off the device, then restart the device. Edited August 13, 2016 by alandb Quote Link to comment

Away to look for the files now. Thanks Quote Link to comment
+cadtenchy
OK it kind of worked. I deleted the poi file, which was called poi.poi. I know it was right one as datestamp was yesterday when I was trying. Reboot the device, nothing in custom POIs at all. Looking good. back to GSAK where I am using the macro "Nuvi_GPX_v2.Gsk" to send the geocaches to the device. I ensured I had on one database left by deleting all the others, and I have checked that only the geocaches I want are in the database. Then I run the macro (using "build GPX files" then "Run POI Loader" When I restart the device I have my new caches BUT I have two other sets that I have uploaded in the past!! What!? One other thing I notice is when I run the POI loader it tells me 9000+ waypoints were uploaded but my database has 7240 in it. It shouldn't have additional waypoints like parking as I didn't load that file from the pocket query, and there are no multi caches loaded. This leads me to believe maybe GSAK/the macro is the source of my headache? EDIT: YES. I found that the macro had kept folders for the GPX files from the last two trips I uploaded.(I didn't know it did this) I went into the GPX folder editor and found them, and deleted them and told it to prompt me to delete them after upload so this doesn't happen again. One final try, and I am good to go now. PHEW. Thanks for eliminating one area to enable to deduce where the issue may be. Edited August 13, 2016 by cadtenchy Quote Link to comment
