+paticpatic
I placed a magnetic cache 2 years. I checked on it last week and notice the area is under construction. My cache is still there, but probably not much longer when the construction project is finished. I found a new location for the cache about 0.2 miles down the road. Can I modify the correct cache coordinates to locate it that far from GZ, or should I archive the current cache and create a new one? I’m not sure how far moving a current cache by modifying its coordinates is acceptable? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
You can move your cache up to 528 feet (.1 miles) using an "Update Coordinates" log. Beyond that, you'd need to involve your local Community Volunteer Reviewer. They'll ask you some questions and the answer may very well be "no, make a new cache." The fact that construction is necessitating the move is a point in favor of making the adjustment. Quote Link to comment
+paticpatic
Thanks for the reply Keystone, I contacted my local reviewer and they said to archive the current cache and create a new one at the new location. That seems like a good solution. Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
Sorry to hear about your cache. I agree that a new listing would be more apropos; that's how I'd handle it. Quote Link to comment
