+think2wice Posted October 10, 2015 Share Posted October 10, 2015 I've been caching for a while now and I notice when we get emails about new caches with the option to open in geo app or website; the app fails to open. If so, then they've cahnged the way it works. Before it would just open the app, not it will say "Safari/Mail want to open Geocaching" and you have to press OK for it to work.Try clearing out the browser's cache, but I can't guarantee this works. +think2wice Posted October 13, 2015 Author Share Posted October 13, 2015 This is def not a solution. I've always been up to date on iOS and the app has never opened from the emails. It brings an error that, "safari could not open the page because the address is invalid." I've been a premium member for maybe two years and this option to open from email in the app has never worked. Caches cleaned or not. Thanks though. Quote Link to comment

The "Open with app" link only works with the full paid app. It doesn't work with the free app. However, since the current free app is in the process of being modified such that it will soon (unknown timeframe) be the primary app, I expect they'll add this functionality.
