dictum9
connected to the device, montana 650 and the BaseCamp shows all these straight lines. How do I not show them? The view/Data filter does not do anything. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
You need to divide the tracks and delete the erroneous sections using the track editing tools. Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
Use GPSBabel's track splitter. http://www.gpsbabel.org/htmldoc-1.5.0/filter_track.html Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
I am not sure that the responses actually address what you are seeing. A bunch of straight lines usually means that the tracking interval has gotten set wrong. I have that happen when I get the well known "My Garmin shut off" out in the field and i reboot. Go to Setup Tracks and make sure the Record Method is set to Auto and the Interval is Normal for the best tracking. If some how it has changed to Time then look at the interval. For some reason mine was 3 hours, 1 minute 32 seconds which made a 9 hour plus ride into a triangle. You might want to change the time to one minute while you have it in time so that if (or when) it does that again you won't get the long lines. Quote Link to comment
