I know the Garmin specs are the same, but didn't know if the B&W vs color screen saved any significant battery juice, or if it was negligible. Quote Link to comment

The CPU has to process the pixel array each time you move unless you have battery save on. Then it only refreshes when you activate the screen. On some earlier eTrexes, the color had better battery life than the B&W model. Likely a later generation CPU. Quote Link to comment
