Another PM feature is pocket queuries. You can set up a weekly PQ, or even just view the cache list on the search page. Both I those can be sorted by date- newest first. So even though the one button is gone, there are other options. Quote Link to comment
+fidorama
oh I know there are other options. however it was there, and handy. I think its a waist to run a PQ nearly as often as I lokked on that list. I will have to do some digging to see if I can come up with that URL. Quote Link to comment

Yes, i was disappointed to see the "newest in Texas" link go away. I ended up figuring out how to do it with a pocket query. You don't have to click a day to have it run, so you're not wasting anything. Just click preview on the following page and you'll have a nice list of caches to look through. Events are the main caches i look for so i set up the query just for those. I filter for unfound by anyone and go out 200 miles from my home coordinates since that is probably the maximum distance i might drive to attend one. At the most, it's 2 clicks from any page on gc.com. Quote Link to comment
+BBWolf+3Pigs
Go to the "Hide and Seek a Cache" page, then select the state from the "by State/Province:" drop down selection. I then bookmarked it. Quote Link to comment
+CanadianRockies
Didn't each cache listing page also have some sort of "Find nearby caches" link? That was handy at times. Yesterday, I was looking at the cache map and saw two icons were directly on top of each other. In the past, I could have clicked on one of them, then used the "Find nearby caches" link to view the other. Instead, I had to go to the bother of setting up a PQ to view the other. I still have the "Find nearest" link on the cache page. Quote Link to comment

When the icons are one atop the other on the map, the pop-up that is generated when clicking them includes a link to go through them all. The red arrow is pointing at it, in this example: Quote Link to comment
