J.A.R.S.
I haven't been able to print maps from Garmin's Mapsource software. Instead I use SnagIt to capture an image of the map and print it. Is there a better way? I don't know what you are going to do, but I know I can't lie around and be lazy. I am a Thing-Finder, and when you're a Thing-Finder you don't have a minute to spare....The whole world is full of things, and somebody has to look for them. And that's just what a Thing-Finder does. -Pippi Longstocking Quote Link to comment
binthair
Hello J.A.R.S.! I use MapSource (version 4.07)all the time and have no problem printing maps. Clicking on the Print command does it for me; I'm sure you've tried that. Perhaps there's a problem with your printer setup. Do other applications have the same problem? If not, check with the MapSource support people. Cheers and Good Luck, binthair PS: I'm still trying to figure out how to consolidate tracks (breadcrumb trails)from several outings with Mapsource. Problems arise when the number of tracks gets larger than about 32 and/or the tracks from different outings have the same ID number. Anyone figured that one out yet? The MapSource people of one department don't seem to understand that problem and claim it's possible, when it's not. Another department claims it's not a feature. +Alan2
I have to lower the resolution from 600 to 300 dots for my HP Laserjet 6L printer. Or you can print from Paint in WIndows using the Print Screen key. Alan Quote Link to comment
+Alan2
quote: I'm still trying to figure out how to consolidate tracks (breadcrumb trails)from several outings with Mapsource. Why can'tt change the name of the track to make it unique. I'm assuming the problem is that the names are the same from different tracks and you can't "paste" because Mapsource won't let you. Or, you can copy and paste one or more all the way up to all the legs in one track into a second route to make it like one continuous long route. Hope these ideas helped. Alan Quote Link to comment
+Couparangus
I can print without any problem on my Mapsource - which doesn't do you any good, Jars! Nonetheless, a useful trick I've found for capturing screen information is to hit PrtScrn and then use CTRL-V to paste into any other application (Corel, MS Word, Paintbrush, Power Point etc). From there you can massage the image to suite and, hopefully, print it too. Cheers! Coupar-Angus Quote Link to comment
