erdos Posted July 31, 2014 Share Posted July 31, 2014 anyone here using Viewranger? viewranger doesn't seem to have its own discussion forum. so i came here for my question. i use viewranger on an offlined HTC android phone and so far it's working great. my only problem is that when i saved OS maps from within the application for my local area, the maps doesn't seem to stay. a couple days later when i use it ourdoors, the saved maps have gone and the apps request online access to download the same area maps again. any thought? I used the save map tiles feature to save 'Detailed' maps. however, when i later browse the maps, device is downloading the maps again through wi-fi when i'm at home, not available when i'm outdoors. My device does not have data access, it's not connected to any cellular network. Quote Link to comment
erdos Posted August 2, 2014 Author Share Posted August 2, 2014 Check the Viewranger folder at the top level of your phone. Are the maps shown there? If not or there's no folder the maps haven't downloaded. maps are located on microSD card /sdcard/viewranger/cache/85 followed by different zoom levels, 4,6,8,10 etc Quote Link to comment
