+Team Beynon (Morfy) Posted March 27, 2015 Share Posted March 27, 2015 Cannot find this info anywhere online! Does the Garmin eTrex 10 need a micro SD for maps? The only descriptions I can find say it comes with maps on but reviews suggest otherwise and what do I need to do - do I need to load some maps (ie particular kinds) onto my laptop to put on it later? Description says it doesn't do OS maps. New to this, new to coordinates, new to using anything similar. Quote Link to comment
+MartyBartfast Posted March 27, 2015 Share Posted March 27, 2015 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you can't put useful maps on the Etrex10 (you can on the 20 & 30). You may see posts on here showing how to put a map on an Etrex10, but that's a hack and you can only put a very basic map on it, with very little detail, for a very small area (we're talking a few miles).
