Clarification on saturation rules for virtual stage on a multi-cache

Hello everyone,

I am looking to setup a 2 step/stage multi-cache with a virtual starting point. The starting area/step will be used to help the cacher find the coordinates for the second/final step/stage. The second/final step/stage will have a physical cache container. My question is around that of saturation/proximity. As my step 1 will be virtual, then the issue of saturation/proximity to another physical cache will be moot. I just need to make sure that stage/step 2 is 528 feet from another physical cache.

Let me know if I am understanding this correctly. I have a pretty cool starting point, but it is too close to another physical cache (about 200 ft away) so I thought the idea of making the first step virtual would solve the problem. I am basing this on reading this in the help center http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=72

Thanks!

You are correct and understanding it correctly. It is the preferred way of inviting someone to a spot with a proximity conflict.

Correct. A virtual waypoint can be less than 528 feet from a physical element of another cache.

Thank you for the clarification! Also - GO JAYHAWKS!
