smac4444 Posted May 22, 2016 Share Posted May 22, 2016 Hi everyone! I'm not a geocacher, just a backpacker and climber starting to investigate the world of GPS navigation. Everyone on this site seems really knowledgeable, so I was hoping you lovely folks might answer some questions I have about getting my first GPS unit. I am hoping to get the Garmin etrex 20x, since I'll probably just need really basic functions. I was thinking of getting the birdseye topo for maps, but my only computer is a Chromebook, which doesn't really allow for downloading programs. Does anyone have experience transferring maps to a GPS unit using a Chromebook? Thanks in advance for your help Steph Quote Link to comment
