"Challenge" Mystery logs

Is it considered acceptable to log a challenge mystery, and log the "find" once you qualify

That's quite common, from what I've seen.

 

In fact, I've seen cache owners state it in the cache description that folks can log a "note", then add the "found it" log later, with the qualifications listed as specified.

Clarifying what Pup Patrol said, it would be better to "write note" and afterwards, when both parts of the challenge are met, add a new "found it" log. The cache owner will not get any notification of your find if you change the log type.

Yep. Find the cache, but dont qualify yet, write a Note log.

When you qualify, then post a Found It log, for the date you completed the challenge cache conditions.
