Oompah Loompah

Ok, so. I did some caching several years ago and went dormant. I'll begin caching again as of tomorrow with a new friends of mine. She has one she's been hunting for since last October with no luck, and I'm determined to find this puppy.

My questions/problem is this: The sole clue to this cache hinges on the understanding of the words "oompah loompah" as used in the geocaching community. I've not run across this before, couldn't find any explanation in the forums, nothing in a web search. What in the world are you guys talking about with your oompah loompah stuff?!

Thanks in advance!

Here is the cache in question. The hint and several of the posts in the bottom reference "oompah loompahs", but I cannot discern a context. I'm stumped, Lol.

Quote from the cache page:

Don’t ask for hints, and if you find this please don’t give any.

In accordance with the CO's wishes, I suggest that this subject be dropped.

Its rated 5 for difficulty and therefore is intended to be difficult to find.... as the page says its not about the number its about the bragging rights... go again and search EVERYWHERE... read the logs and look at the pictures. The only thing not to do is ask for help as per the CO's request...

In the UK, there's a saying "Oompah Loompah, stick it up your jumper"

That is making me laugh so hard. Thanks. I'm going to have to start saying that to people now, even though I have no clue what it means.

As an ex-pat now living in Canada, I can tell you this is the more polite version of "shove it......" I'll let you fill in the blanks. :)

I've never heard that saying before-and I've lived all my life exposed to the British soldier (live near BATUS-a British facility)

Ok! I told my husband about this thread tonight (before reading your post), so of course he had to look it up. Lol, not appropriate. Also, the thingy we read said that it was actually "oompah oompah", like the sound a tuba makes.

Yep, we used to say "oompah, oompah" but that was in the south of England. The rest of England and the UK may have had different words...heck, for a small area we have a big language if you can call it that! :D
