Should I ask a owner of the owner of a geocache if I could show their cache in a vlog? I know a cacher around my area that doesn't ask the owner. I'm puzzled now! I need help!

I feel if someone's knowingly showing others a means to find a cache not their own, it's not right.

- Claiming your two minutes of fame on anothers accomplishment kinda thing...

Few know others well enough to know how they'll react to an intrusion like that.

I'd think one should realize that the possible problems faced from the CO, and other cachers in the area (who's next?), might not be worth their riding on the coat tails of another.

It's good etiquette to do so. I think you're around the same area as I am. If we're thinking of the same vlogger, he's created a lot of angst with his videos. One CO is archiving all his caches in a certain town before they're spoiled by a video.

 

So yes - ask the CO first!

It's good etiquette to do so. I think you're around the same area as I am. If we're thinking of the same vlogger, he's created a lot of angst with his videos. One CO is archiving all his caches in a certain town before they're spoiled by a video.
