+SaltyDog20
Just a few months ago I accidentally left my old GPSMAP 62st in my rental car when I turned it back in. Surprise surprise it was not to be found by the rental company. I've been doing some of my own research but I want to hear it from the users themselves on which GPS works out the best. I'm perfectly ok with getting either or, but which unit seems to be less of a headache as far as useability, bugs, physical constraints, so on and so forth. Quote Link to comment
+geodarts
I am sorry about the lost gpsr. Last year, I left a camera in a rental car, but got lucky and it was returned. In any event, you would get more opinions if this question was asked in the gps forum rather than the southwest section. All garmin units take awhile to mature, and as firmware is updated they become more stable. I have been happy with the 600, and I am sure that the 64 series is rapidly on its way to being a very nice unit. There have been discussions of both in the other section, but to my mind the choice comes to whether you like touchscreens or buttons and how important the display is to you. Of course, with the 62's being phased out, there are some very good prices out there to also consider. Quote Link to comment
