+criffree
Is there any Wherigo app available for Android phones other than WhereYouGo? I have an HTC One (HTC6500LVW)and have successfully loaded the WhereYouGo app. I've loaded Cartridges to the phone, and pointed the cart folder to my phone's download area. The cartridges are being seen, no problem. I'v also loaded Lcus maps, again no issue. I start the cartridge, no problems. I start navigation to the first location and the distance never changes, always 1.8 miles way. It appears that the app is not recognizing my GPS of my phone. Other GPS related apps see it just fine. When choose to review it via the Locus maps, it properly shows my location and distance. That information never gets passed to the app?!? I've tested the cartridge on an iPhone with no issue. So I conclude that WhereYouGo won't work on my phone. Are there other android Wherigo apps available? (My search of the google play store did not yield any) Thanks in advance criffree Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
The WF.Player is in development. Try it out. If the WF site begins being the main Wherigo cartridge listing service, this player app will soon gain the ability to download cartridges automatically, list out the ones closest to you, and monitor your cartridge download queue on the WF site. (By the way, all those features are available in the Wherigo Foundation API right now--and have been for most of this year.) Quote Link to comment

What I realized, though, is that after each action, the GPS seemed to be getting turned off, even if the icon at top said it was still on. As long as I remembered to go back and turn on the GPS before I was needed to use it, I was OK. Hope that helps a little. Edited August 14, 2014 by Semper Questio Quote Link to comment

+Nothelfer
Error message for WhereYouGo version from May 20, 2014 At my LG G2 Android 4.4.2 I have constant crashes with two different cartridges. It does not work! I mailed the errors messages to the developers, hoping that something happens. Best Regard from Hamburg! Quote Link to comment

+artemisworks
I would be very interested to try the beta app for the Android too. I have a basic Android phone just for testing Wherigos I make.... Whereyougo is fine but there are limitations and I am not a fan of the UI. Thanks, artemisworks Edited December 20, 2014 by artemisworks Quote Link to comment
