+on4bam
When I download my pocket queries, I get a second gpx file with waypoints. What are these waypoints used for and do I need to keep them on my gps? The WPX file contains all "additional waypoints" like parking, virtual, physical, reference point... Why you need them? If you don't have them for a multi you will be stuck at the starting coordinates unless you have to look for tags to go further. Quote Link to comment
+FrankenHipster
Thank you. I have yet to try a multi-cache. As long as I know that I need them, I will keep them. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
Thank you. I have yet to try a multi-cache. As long as I know that I need them, I will keep them. They're also handy for identifying that one parking spot amongst the many "No parking" signs, or that well-hidden and overgrown trailhead. Many times I've arrived and said to myself "what trail?", then used the trailhead waypoint to find the trail. Quote Link to comment

I really thought that they were just random waypoints that people have added for their own purpose. Now I know better! Quote Link to comment
+ecanderson
@Franken They're the same secondary waypoints as you find on the associated cache pages. If the cache page shows a parking wayoint or a trailhead waypoint, it will be shipped in the 2nd *.gpx file you are receiving, and can be viewed as a waypoint on your GPS. Quote Link to comment
