Team AZMO
One of the State parks contacted me back about their group projects program and they would really like us to do some cedar tree removal from glades where they have invaded. If the primary purpose of the event is the invasive species removal, with the obvious picking up of any trash we do encounter as a secondary aim, is it still a CITO? Quote Link to comment
Isonzo Karst
Yes, a CITO can be arranged around any work that a land manager wants done - I've held a CITO for planting trees, and attended one for waypointing sunken boat hulls. Quote Link to comment
T.D.M.22
I've participated in a CITO where we protected native plants against a threat, and the year before they had removal of noxious/invasive plants. I can't see why your idea would be rejected. Only way to find out for sure is to ask your reviewer. Quote Link to comment
MissJenn
From http://www.geocaching.com/cito/ Events might be focused on litter clean-up, removal of invasive species, revegetation efforts or building trails. Together, we make an enormous positive impact. Quote Link to comment
chillypenguin
To me CITO is about giving back to the environment that we cache in. I have only done one, but that was coppicing willow. Quote Link to comment
