Photo Competition - July 2014

Right the theme for this months competition is spectacular views in the UK. Here's an example:

 

 

rules are:

 

1) The photo must be cache related and to do with a specific cache in the UK - please include a link to the cache or the GC code so we can see where the picture relates to.

 

2) Maximum of two photos per caching team or cacher

 

3) The winner each month is decided by the winner from the previous month - the new winner starting the thread for the subsequent month. They may set a theme if they wish.

 

4) The photo should be within the last year, i.e. from June 2013 onwards.

 

That's it - now it's over to you.

 

PS With the Mega in Scotland, I will not be able to judge it straight away at the start of August.

Tryfan Summit - A view of the Glyders from Tryfan

 

 

And then from today - Yr Aran - a view along the south ridge to Snowdon and the surrounding hills, from Yr Aran

This is at GC31HTK which is at the summit of Cornish Hill looking North(ish) taken on 27 April 2014 . I believe the sea is just in shot. This is my first shot at the photo competition. Hope you enjoy.

2nd was GC1EGCZ - Symonds Yat Rock at the view point

GC10NMP The Islands at the Edge of the World (St Kilda) is the nearest cache and GC304NF Village Bay View (St Kilda)is not far away.

Well that didn't work out - can anyone tell me how to include a photo here? doesn't seem to work as a link from the log so does it have to be loaded on internet somewhere? CAnnot see a way to upload from my pc

put me on your mailing list --- a four hour visit was not enough am desperate to go back and see more - have sent a brief article to SEEKER - watch out for sept issue - I may get back there before 2017 - but then again finance and weather may not allow

The first is the view from the top of Snaefell where I found the Six Kingdoms cache

 

 

The second is a view of the sunset at The Sound taken after finding The Isle of Man's Extremities (WEST)

Sorry for the late judging but I was away enjoying Scotland and got back with lots of things that had to be done.
