Using an iPhone to Navigate to places in a GPX file?

I have a GPX file with cache locations and waypoints. The GPX file is not from geocaching.com, and is currently saved to my Mac. How do I open/convert/use the GPX file to view and navigate to these points using an iPhone? (I feel like this should be simple but keep on running into problems...)

Stuff i've tried:

an app called GPS viewer (free app but wouldnt open my url on dropbox)

looking for a way to upload a GPX file onto Geocaching.com/my Groundspeak app (does not look like that is an option unless it is a route.)

using the gpx and creating a map in google maps classic view (i cant view this on my iphone google maps app or in the browser)

opening that same map in google earth (keeps crashing, wont navigate/provide driving directions.

Can anyone explain this to me like I was 10?.... months.... old? ;)

Thanks.

Nik.

There are many iphone apps that allow you to import GPX files. For caching purposes, my favorite is Geosphere. I can import a GPX file, map out the caches or waypoints, and navigate to the location using a bookmark that transfers the coordinates to a routing app, such as Navigon. I can combine or filter different GPX files and export the result to my computer, gpsr, or other apps. It supports Dropbox, among other things.

Pocket earth (with very basic routing), Gaia gps, and other mapping apps also allow you to import GPX files. However, I am not sure what you want to upload to geocaching.com or what you are trying to do.

Thanks! The geosphere and navigon apps sound like what I'm trying to find. I didn't realize I might need two separate apps to both view and navigate to points contained in a gpx file . (re: my uploading comment I thought there might be a way to upload GPX files into geocaching.com then view them in the Groundspeak app for navigation to the points contiained within.)

I use Navigon because it uses offline maps and provides voice guidance. Pocket Earth also saves maps offline and has basic routing. Google and other map apps can also be used. Geosphere can interface with any mapping app that will let you transfer coordinates to it. I also use it with Gaia GPS, which has several offline map options.

But you do not necessarily need a separate app for routing. When I do not need turn by turn directions or offline maps, Geosphere will get me to the cache just fine - as will other caching apps.

Geobucket and Looking4cache have free versions that could import a gpx file and switch to another app for turn by turn routing - although I prefer Geosphere.

The Groundspeak app will only import pocket queries (outside of its own search capabilities). So it is a bit more limited.
