+highlandgrlz
Hey there, in the old days, when I did Find A Cache, it pretty much downloaded everything. I could make the list, then hit Map These Results and I could move the map in all directions and it would just keep filling in the caches. Now, if I hit Home Coordinates, or even search on a city, it comes up with a very small search area. I have to go suburb by suburb, creating a new search for each suburb. Is there a way to change some filter to download it the old way, to cover the whole Twin Cities metropolitan area? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+niraD
Select the Add Filters button. Then you can expand the search radius. Also, if you leave the main search field blank and hit the Add Filters button, then you can enter a state into the "Search Only In..." field and search an entire state. Keystone
You can also launch the cache map from your profile page (click the map icon in the right-hand column) and it will be centered on your home coordinates. From there you can pan the maps around without worrying about the limits on what will be returned by the new search feature. Quote Link to comment
+highlandgrlz
Awesome!! Mapping from my profile page is perfect. Thanks! I tried changing the search radius, which does increase the number of caches in the list, but Map These Results will still only map out 1000. But I will just use the option on my profile page now anyway. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to respond! Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
Looks like there's a new option. Just noticed it this evening. After mapping results of an Advanced Search, then clicking on "Clear Search Filters" will show all caches in that same mapped area and the left panel will be available (for excluding finds and limiting cache types). Eliminates the need to launch "View Geocache Map" after finishing an Advanced Search. Quote Link to comment
