+GeoLog81
How the Project-GC decides, from which country does the cacher come from? They write, they are doing it basing on the activity, but does it mean I'm 'from' the country where I've found most caches, or I've cached most of the days? Quote Link to comment
+Panther&Pine
Probably from where your IP address pings. Quote Link to comment
+GeoLog81
Probably from where your IP address pings. This would contradict what the oficially write: Locations of geocachers are not 100% accurate. It's statistically calculated from geocaching patterns which works very well for countries, might be a bit less accurate for regions. Geocachers that has moved will most likely be miss-placed. I'm curious what those 'patterns' are, and how long does it take them to detect I've moved to the other country? If I won't find more caches in my 'actual' country, than in my 'GC' country, will I be stick to the 'old' one forever? Quote Link to comment
+Alkhalikoi
GC has your home coordinates as part of your profile, so I assume Project-GC operates from that. Quote Link to comment
