+BC Nomads
Can not seem to find the info on how to delete caches in this GPS. Can someone please post the sequence needed to delete a cache from the list of caches in the geocache folder? Just want to be able to remove one or two from a list if we decide not to do them for one reason or another. Also , once found, how do you delete the caches from the GPS. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
The easiest way if just wanting to delete select ones from the GPS is to connect the GPS to a computer and delete from within Basecamp. There is no way to remove specific ones from the list. You can apply filters on types. Quote Link to comment
+Great Scott!
Plug in GPS to computer using USB cable Open Basecamp. Once Basecamp reads your GPS, you can delete individual geocaches from the list Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
Deleting individual caches kinda depends on how you loaded them into the Etrex originally. If the caches were loaded into the Etrex individually, then you can delete them by: -- Connect the Etrex to computer using the USB cord -- Open the Garmin -> GPX folder on the Etrex -- Delete the file(s) for the individual cache(s)...which should be identifiable by the GC Code If the caches were loaded into the Etrex in bulk fashion (Pocket Queries), then you'd need to follow the instructions noted in the earlier posts OR... -- Add the caches you don't want onto your Ignore list -- Adjust your pocket query and select "Are not on my ignore list" in the "That (And)" section -- Re-run and reload the pocket query to your Etrex, after properly deleting the previous pocket query Quote Link to comment
