+Copaman
Been trying to figure out how to program a Wherigo, and one of the threads suggested I use the "Create a Simple Cartridge" under Tools > Wizards. However, it ONLY lets you put in an address (no coordinates) for starting position, and when trying to resolve this, I get an error: "Error looking up address: The remote name could not be resolved: 'api.local.yahoo.com'" Then, I tried to generate zones from the map. The map doesn't display and I get another error: "There was an error using TerraServer. The operation has timed out" Any help on these? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Yep. Not happening. Groundspeak's builder is so old that the APIs it was using have been changed. And, no, Groundspeak isn't planning to do anything about it. Quote Link to comment
+Copaman
That's too bad. People now have more access to more devices that are capable of doing Wherigo caches, but they are abandoning it? That's really sad to hear. I've ended up downloading some of the Open Source scripts and reverse engineering them. Not very elegant, but so far it's working. Thanks for the update. +charlenni
You could use one of the other builders (Urwigo, Earwigo or Wherigo\\kit). For links see RangerFoxs signature. Quote Link to comment
