+Snowflake24
WSGA is looking for volunteers to fulfill a couple of requests in the Seattle area scheduled for March 21st. The first request is actually for a Waymarking lesson. Have you got some experience with Waymarking and want to teach others? The event is for Norwegian Heritage Day and will take place in Ballard. 10:30 start for the presentation, estimated at about 30 minutes in length. They may also be interested in taking a few folks geocaching in the area (using the app). Total commitment would be about 90 minutes, and they'd provide lunch. The other request is for a geocaching workshop at Camp Fire youth camp (6th-12th grade) on Vashon Island. The (private) camp is on the waterfront and has several trails where we would need to set up some temporary caches. They're looking for someone to do an hour-long workshop or two with groups of about 10 kids. The schedule isn't set at the moment, so the volunteer may be able to negotiate a specific time slot. If you're a member of WSGA (or interested in becoming one) and could help out with either of these events, please let me know by March 1st. Thank you! +Snowflake24
Still looking for volunteers for these events! Extending the response deadline to Friday, March 6th. Here's more info on the Camp Fire event: They've tentatively scheduled 2 sessions for geocaching: Session 1, which starts at 11:40 and Session 3 which starts at 2:20. This allows for set up time in advance of both workshops as needed. Each session is currently limited to 8 kids. There will be someone available to assist who knows the layout of camp very well (for placing temp caches). Campers will be gathering for lunch (BYO) at 11:00 if the volunteer would like to join them. Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
That's also the date of the Spokane Valley Cache Machine, so the pool of people interested in helping is lessened. I'm one of those who won't be available due to the CM. But good luck. Quote Link to comment
