+64kittygirl
I picked up a Geocoin today and I have checked it in to its owners page and they are trying to get it to Connecticut and I'm in Washington State. How do I find someone from Washington State that is headed that way? Is there a board or listing somewhere? I would really like to help. Quote Link to comment

Not many people do. That said, you aren't obligated to complete the mission in one fell swoop. It's been out there since September 2014, and what I've seen, hasn't left Washington state yet. I would not worry about it getting to Connecticut immediately. It's the nature of trackables that they can travel for quite a while, before getting close to completing their mission. Just move it as best you can, take some photos, and post them to the trackable's page. The trackable owner will appreciate reading some interesting stories and seeing photos of nice locations where the trackable has been. B. Quote Link to comment
+Touchstone
For starters: Northwest Regional Forum Event's would be another option, but they can also be a black hole for trackables. Just make sure that you physically hand it to someone, and that they pick it up from your inventory, so that the trackable owner knows that you aren't keeping it. Aside from that, just place it in the next available cache. The serendipitous nature of trackables is kind of fun and more rewarding than trying to force the issue by finding someone, "going that way". As long as you make the honest effort of moving towards its goal, it's all good. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
Or.... you could simply move it along as intended (or expected to move). Place and log it into another cache. The next cacher to retrieve it may -- or may not -- be going that way. That's the game. Really, it's nice that you want to get it there, but getting it there isn't your primary responsibility. Just move it along as intended. It's the way trackable were intended to move, from cache-to-cache... not necessarily in a straight line in a single-shot. Personally, from what I have seen, I cannot advise dropping it at an Event. I now refuse to place a trackable at an Event. I'll visit it there, but not leave it. Far too many go nowhere after being placed into an Event. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I am moving this thread from the Geocaching Topics forum to the Northwest forum. Quote Link to comment

I am very impressed that as a new user of the free phone app you care about a geocoin's (aka trackable) goal. This is good to see. Quote Link to comment
