Can someone help me fix my images on my cache page?

I know that over time, images can have dead links and stop working. That's why I saved all the images for my cache pages onto my own Photobucket account. But recently, they've stopped displaying for me. I don't understand what is going on and I've checked on other devices and it's doing the same thing. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

There was a problem with images back in 2013:

I have just heard from our IT team that all possible recovery processes for the image issue that started two weeks ago have now been completed. Through a very long restore process, we've managed to recover approximately 95% of the compromised images, which represented 2.52% of the full image store.

Unfortunately, 5% of the images were unable to be recovered, which represents 0.126% of our total image store, or about 37,000 images (not including thumbnails, scaled versions, etc that are regenerated on the fly). Any users who at this point are still missing images will be required to upload them again to have them visible on the site.

Not sure why your images have stopped displaying "recently".

Sounds like you need to reload the images to your cache description.

Hope this Help Center article is still valid and helps:

Thanks guys!

I always store the picture on the cache page using the abmin tools, upload images.

Then click the image after it is on the page. copy the url and paste it into this.

<center><img src="(code goes here) "></center>.

I paste it over the statement (code goes here). This also works for giffs.

You copy this into the cache description. For multiple images you just do it for each one.

Are the images still not displaying for you? They all displayed for me just now. It may have really just been some site maintenance.

I'm in Mn-treker's camp as to where to store images; in the cache page gallery. Plus a backup on a local hard drive just in case geocaching.com has another 'hiccup' someday. I've seen too many old puzzles with images stored on a third party site that became unsolvable when that site changed their policies or just vanished into the ether, taking the puzzle images with it.
