Levans85
Sorry if this is a silly question - I couldn't find it on the acronym list... could anyone explain TN Projection "Subtract 678 from the first 3 digits of this number to obtain a distance in meters and subtract 2049 from the last 4 digits to obtain a TN projection in Mils." Thanks so much! Quote Link to comment
+BCandMsKitty
That's a new one on me. I did some searching and came up empty. Sounds like it's the same projection as the first option, but meant for folks that operate in miles rather that meters. Edited April 24, 2015 by BC & MsKitty Quote Link to comment

+Great Scott!
True North was my first thought Quote Link to comment
+Gill & Tony
Mils is a measurement of direction. It is short for milliradian and is often used in military use. So a projection of zero mils is due north. 1 degree is 17.7777777777777778 mils. Dunno what TN means - maybe True North? Edit to mention I've just noticed Great Scott's comment above. +dprovan
I've never seen it before, but I agree it must be True North. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Project the waypoint. True North, rather than Magnetic North. And Mils, rather than Degrees. Edited April 25, 2015 by Bear and Ragged Quote Link to comment
