They updated the website again

why do they keep changing it if everyone... paid members, and free alike.. don't like it? and why don't "they" speak up about why they won't?

Who said all members don't like it?? They just made some layout/design changes...I don't see anything missing (not including the search functions, just the overall website). It runs much better on my tablet now by the way.

Anyone have new px measures for fixing the user-generated "DNF/Hidden" language? I c&p from another thread to create it a while ago, but now I can't find that thread for an update.

This worked for my DNF:

<div class='stat' style='position:relative; top:-244px; left:460px; height:0px;'>

Not the whole html coding, I just played with the number, so you should be able to put these into the old scripting and get similar results.

Almost no one bothers to visit a web site and say I love the changes you made. I like the new advanced search. It has placed no limitations on the way I searched in the past and allowed me to search in new ways. I also like the new layout.

Youre right .. as a whole.. we humans tend to complain about changes, or say nothing if we like it.

Your "top" worked for me. Here's the full snippet of code for those interested in adding their DNF count to their profile. The "left" value will have to be adjusted individually based on one's number of finds and logged trackables.

<div class='stat' style='position:relative; top:-244px; left:475px; height:0px;'> |   <img style="vertical-align:sub" src='/images/icons/32/dnf.png' alt='' height="15" width="15" /> 783 DNF Logs</div>

I look at my recent finds and my screen is now about 60% white and I have to scroll down even more with all data squashed in the middle. Can someone please stand up and be counted who honestly thinks this is a great plan. Make the flipping description column wider again please. It used to be 2 lines normally now it is 4.

This worked great. Thanks! :) :)

I would like to say "yes, I love changes you made" but I need to see these positive changes first. What I see now:

- There's now much more blank space on the front page so when I use my small 11.6" laptop in my trips (as I do at the moment) I have to scroll.

- People in my country need to switch the interface into local language. Earlier it was done in the upper right corner, easily visible to every novice visitor. Now it's in the lower left corner so you need to scroll to see it.

- The button for settings/exit is now larger then my avatar.

- Some titles for the sections below are not translated anymore. I know, I need to check if it's possible to translate them.

- I remember that I needed to hover my mouse over a menu item to see the dropdown menu (am I wrong?) Now I need to click the item. Again, I can live with it but I doubt that all newbies will guess there are different submenus behind this menu.

- Since no educational materials on the website existed in Russian I created my own for our local audience and supplied screenshots for this text of course. Now it's time to review the text and replace all screenshots. The problem is that I don't know if any new changes are made next week.

Unicode in titles, you say? I don't own caches with Unicode in titles but some of people whom I know do. Need to have a look at their listings...

As for the search system, I personally don't care because I don't use it (I'm happy with PQs). Of my friends only non-premium members used search. They would probably find some different solution because the search system was cut for them.

My complaint is that instead of the drop down menus you have to go to your profile and the search for what would have been in front of you before. And because the GM scripts no longer work I don't have easy access to look up waypoints.

Maybe you can convince fizzymagic to fix them. I sure would like to see waypoint finder working again.

I am a user who puts unicode symbols in my cache titles. While some of them are ok, others are completely blank. It's weird, some of the unicode symbols make the entire title dissapear. This seems most present when viewing it in internet explorer. Feel free to look at my list of placed caches through explorer if you're able to notice it.

I'm just hoping they update things to fix that problem, while they're making all these changes anyway. <_<

This is probably just me because I'm seeing something that I saw awhile back that nobody else was seeing.

A couple of months ago I went to my profile page and the list of "most recently viewed cache" showed a list of caches I had viewed in 2009. The caches were related to a puzzle I was working on at the time. As I looked at some other cache listings those old caches dropped down the list so the "problem" went away. The first time I logged on after the most recent site update those same caches again showed as my most recently viewed caches.

I can't explain it, and they'll go away as I look at more cache listing but it's the second time it's happened.

I didn't want to complain about the dead space, so I was glad to see someone else with a tiny screen make note of it. My netbook is a whopping 5" high. All I see when I log in is a bunch of empty space.

Still avoiding adding anything to my profile page as it is too hard to deal with the miniscule amount of space given to work with (What is it, about five half-lines).

I don't even have a profile. I thought my renew date had passed and I didn't update my credit card or something, so I bought another year.

I not sure what you meant you don't have a profile. I see the top part. The rest maybe it is conflicting with what changes they made. But then I am sitting at a computer that is not mine and has an outdated browser I am not allowed to update. I see all of mine.

Tried Fizzy and he said just type the waypoint only in the URL the rest would come. I haven't tried it recently. Before it would go to Yahoo or Google
