+Justin Of Terrytown
Have any geocachers been question while geocaching? Just in case somebody like the police questions what I am doing, I am thinking it would be easier for me with my speech impediment if I keep a print out of this flyer about geocaching. Is that a good ideal or a bad ideal? Edited December 29, 2014 by Justin Of Terrytown Quote Link to comment
+ecanderson
Forgetting for a moment the audience you might encounter, these would be great little brochures for handing out to any muggles who show sufficient interest, whether they wear badges or not. Nice introduction to the game. And it's probably not 'in case', but rather, 'when' - if you become a serious cacher, it's just a matter of time! Quote Link to comment
+BAMBOOZLE
Hi Justin....I am from your area and found the cache you found. Its best if questioned , especially by authorities like police , to simply say you're geocaching and your idea of bringing a written description of the game along with you is an excellent one. We have an event ( meeting ) at the CDM on Veterans Blvd in Metairie on the second Wend of every other month....come by and chat and meet other area cachers, some from the west bank. Welcome to the game and see you on the trail. Quote Link to comment

I have started wearing a shirt that has a geocaching logo on it when I go out caching. A print out is a good idea. Quote Link to comment
+Ma & Pa
I have been questioned by a cop that was passing by. We told him what Geocaching was and he seemed interested. I guess holding on to something that explains geocaching would be nice to have. We were questioned by a cop at an interstate exit in VA. As he drove off he said 'If I see one I will let you know' Edited January 18, 2015 by Ma & Pa Quote Link to comment
