Adopted cache - showing as smiley if found before

I find it frustrating that caches I have found before and have subsequently adopted show on my map as a smiley and not as a star. Some cachers say I have to delete my logs but as I have found them before adopting them I feel that its just right keeping them as finds. I have contacted Groundspeak about it before and they have promised to look into it, but I don't think its really a priority so the status quo hasn't changed. I just want to be able to glance at the map and see where all my caches are and then to click on them from there.

It's nothing new. Only way to stop the smiley is to delete your log. I don't know why people think you should delete your log because you now own the cache- it doesn't change the fact that you found it.

If your concern is being able to view caches you own, you can filter the map to just show caches you own.

Filtering the map to just show caches you own won't show you caches you own that you've also Found. Once map filters on its primary criterion, Found, that's it. No secondary filter on ownership.

I agree with the OP that I'd prefer ownership rather than found status as the primary criterion on the map. However, it's not done that way.

I have no idea whether altering that is even in the long list of proposed site fixes. Bringing it up in these forums from time to time is the way to get it a big higher on the to do list, presumably.
