Find Your Park - Official GeoTour Host

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know if a souvenir will be created or be able to be earned if one starts to work on the Find Your Park - Official GeoTour in 2016? There are many GeoTour's out there - such as Kyle Texas that will offer a trackable coin if you complete their GeoTour. However, when I have looked at the Find Your Park GeoTour, it lists the many National Parks that one can visit. I visited one such park today and completed the Earthcache GC27X53 at the national park (which has the "official Find Your Park" logo on the cache page) but did not see any souvenir.

I can't see any info about a souvenir for the geotour.

A geocaching souvenir was for finding a cache or attending an event on June 11th. This was associated with the "Get Outdoors" promotion, which mentions the "Find Your Park" geotour. https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/findyourpark

Here’s how you can get involved in Get Outdoors Month:

1. Earn the Get Outdoors Day souvenir! To do so, find any geocache or attend any geocaching event on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

2. Participate in one of the Get Outdoors Month activities (listed here) or host your own geocaching event to introduce your friends to the great outdoors. Please note that there is no souvenir for participating in these events, except on June 11, Get Outdoors Day.

3. Celebrate the National Park Service’s second century by exploring the “Find Your Park” GeoTour. Do you have a fourth grader in your family? The “Every Kid in a Park” initiative grants free admission until August 2016 to each and every fourth grader (and their guests) across the country to check out their public lands and waters in person.
