+Faycocache
I have noticed Garmin bought Delorme.. I have a PN 40 that I have used for years and I got a new computer. Where can I find the plug in to install on my windows 10 PC? Everytime I click the link on google it redirects me to Garmins new website with no downloads. Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
I see two links to the file on Garmin's sites: http://software.garmin.com/en-US/gcp.html https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3607#Instruct If you have Firefox, you can install Garmin Communicator as an "Add-on" ("Extension"). I picked the first one in Firefox's Add-On search results, and Firefox still works like that with no special configuration (I sent a cache file to my GPSr just now). But this is subject to change. As for other web browsers, there's more to do than just install Garmin Communicator. See the numerous threads on the subject in this Forum. Edited February 25, 2017 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

+cmt339
I too have a PN-40 that was my Dad's. When I try to load the plug in it asks me for "authentication" in the form of a login and e-mail. I have no idea what this is and he is no longer around to ask. Any ideas how to get around this? Quote Link to comment

See if this helps, specifically Post #3 in the thread: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=335407&view=findpost&p=5542093 Here's another post to read: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=295229&view=findpost&p=5038149 In that scenario you can place a GPX file on an SD card. This would work with either a Pocket Query or a single GPX file when you click the "GPS File" button on a cache page. The "Send To My GPS" button (not to be confused with the "GPX File" button) is getting pretty tough to keep operational. Even if it's working, I can't tell if it would load a PN40. So "GPX File" might be the answer. Edited April 14, 2017 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
