+Calypso62
Whenever I go to the new Google Maps, say from a cache page, the map appears to load briefly, then disappears. If I then click on the "Earth" view in the bottom left corner, up comes the Earth view without a problem. If I then go back to map view, all I see is the light white squares, no map. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium and IE11. Old Google Maps works fine with IE11. New Google Maps works fine in Chrome. I also have Google.com in my Compatibility View settings in IE11. I could just use Chrome but would like to know what's going on with IE11. It worked just fine up until a couple of weeks ago. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance. +Viajero Perdido
Google FUBAR'd their maps. I'm running a completely different setup from you - Firefox on Linux - and I'm seeing roughly the same symptoms. It's unusable, and slow as molasses. Have you tried the OpenStreetMap / OpenCycleMap options on the cache page? While nobody was really looking, they've become incredibly awesome maps. Which is why Google's mess-up doesn't bother me much. Quote Link to comment
+ras_oscar
I just checked, my Google maps look fine. I regularly shift back and forth between google for air photos and leaflet for trails. I like leaflet because if I go caching to an area with trails that aren't on the map I can add them.
