how do I delete a log?

I accidentally logged a geocache twice in the app and I don't know how to delete it. Please help, thanks.

Which app? There are two Official Groundspeak apps each for iPhone and Android and one for Windows phones.

There are also a number of "partner" apps and a couple of non-partner apps. This type of info helps, immensely, at times.

 

We have the iPhone Official apps, and do not see a method on the phone through the app itself. You'll probably have to go online to geocaching.com and do it from the log on the cache page. Works either through a phone or a terminal.

I would guess you are posting this from a computer. If you are just log onto your account and go to your finds. Pick one out and delete it.

More specifically, this url will take you to list of your finds

 

http://www.geocaching.com/my/logs.aspx?s=1&lt=2

 

click on Visit Log at the right of the find you want to delete

 

once on that page, to the upper right of the log, click on the red garbage can icon. this deletes the log.

I believe you'll have to click something to confirm that you really want to do this.

 

You can get to that log from a number of routes, this isn't the only one. Got the cache page, then click the view/edit logs link on your log.
