Anyone else notice the Found It image has been changed?

I was up early this morning logging my finds from yesterday's dual sport ride when I noticed this.

President Obama seems to have taken over the "found it" smilie. It is on any cache I click on that I have found. The DNF smiley remains.

Thoughts and comments?

Feel free to discuss it on our Facebook page too! https://www.facebook.com/kerncountycachers/photos/a.10150438408796014.416165.206359536013/10152682103531014/?type=1&theater

Okay, I just figured out is it only doing this in Chrome. I logged into Firefox and it is showing the smilie. So, so weird. I wonder if I have a virus. Then again, why would the DNFs and everything else be normal?

Anyone else using Chrome and getting the same Obama? I swear my screen shot is not doctored. I am telling the truth.

I looked. I don't know why. But I looked. Now I feel trolled. :-D

I just had another guy say it is showing up normal. I swear Obama is there. No lie.

If you seriously aren't seeing it let me know. Try hitting refresh. I am not joking.

So, so weird. I don't have any extensions installed in Chrome, yet no matter how much I hit refresh, there is his face every time. I will check it on my computer at work in a couple of hours.

I still don't believe you. I use Chrome as well and nobama. Just the same ole smiley face. I could see GS doing something like that for April fools, but I doubt they'd use an American president since they have such a worldwide customers base.

I have no reason to lie. I suspect I have a virus or there is some weird file cache thing going on. I am going to try it at work and see what I get. I think it is specific to my computer and do not think it is on Geocaching.com's end.

I promise you that screen capture is genuine. Weirdest thing ever.

Right-click Obama, and post the image URL.

I also think there is some weird file cache thing going on. Or it may be a leetle image server hiccup. I'm getting intermittent Avatars in the Forum now (in Chrome only). But the Smilie is just fine.

I think it is a file caching issue as it is correct for everyone else. I searched my computer for a "2.png", but nothing came up with Obama's face.

What image is shown for DNF? Joe Biden? :P

Chrome has a "Clear Browsing Data" selection in "Tools" in the main menu. You should also disable any misbehaving extensions (in "Settings").

It is the smiley face at work!

I checked and I don't have any extensions installed. I will clear the cache when I get home. I had another member text me a screen shot from theirs and it has a question mark instead of a smiley face. So it must be a local file caching issue from computer to computer.

I even restarted my computer at home and it is still there. So weird. Oh well. At least GC.com wasn't hacked. That is what I thought at first.

Everyone knows Obama (and Bush before him) are/were part of the illuminati. You can follow this twitter account to see the truth exposed.

I cleared the cached data and it went back to a smiley. I must have downloaded an image of Mr. Obama that was titled 2.png somewhere and Chrome was just cuing up what was in the cache. Strange that it fit so perfectly.

Naw, I'm thinking the illuminati, which Obama is obviously a member of, hacked your computer. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

No he's not. According to a book printed in the early 1800s, the illuminati is the 13th level of the Roscrucians, the parent group of the Freemasons. Although it's likely that they may have hypnotized him before he took office to insure he does not consciously destroy the free world, his previous allegiance before that was to Russia, as the son of the Cuban who shot Kennedy.

Hope that helps! :D:ph34r:

Sorry to accuse you of trolling. I see now that you were quite serious. Very strange bug, there. Maybe your computer thought you needed a bit more Barack in your life.

I am glad you said something. You helped me realize I had the issue and that GC.com didn't get hacked.

Plus it isn't an Internet forum if you don't call someone out for trolling. :D

Clearly your geocaching activity is being monitored by the NSA.* They are probably already reading this thread, too. I would complain to your elected officials.

Most likely explanations of the glitch.

Only other thing could be a computer-guru friend of yours pulling your chain.
