+Hillster
Hi all. I purchased a Magellan 510 two years ago. I am very happy with it as it is very accurate. I have the Summit Series maps in it that turns my GPS into a car GPS with turn by turn instructions to a cache. It also has Australian and New Zealand topo maps showing contour lines power lines streets rivers etc. Of late when I turn my 510 on it takes some time to index the database and I am getting very cranky with it. In the past it has taken up to 20 monutes to start. I have upgraded the firmware but I am now at the stage of buying a new GPS for Caching and hiking. As most people I meet whilst caching have a Garmin can some one tell me a good model to buy. It has to have 1. Turn by turn instructions to caches 2. Full TOPO maps with rivers contour lines power lines etc. 3. Camera 4. Water proof 5. All the tings most others do as well. Thanks in anticipation. Hillster. Quote Link to comment
