darkmellon
hi there, I'm quite new to geocaching so any information to this would be greatly appreciated. I work for a school. We were planning on having a murder mystery event where student's could go and find clues to identify a murderer. We have the location in mind. We thought using geocaching would be a great learning opportunity for students. So I wanted to know, is it possible to create a multi cache that students can use to go to multiple areas (to uncover clues) that we could remove after the days event? Quote Link to comment

However, if you only intend to have it up for one day, it won't be published on geocaching.com. The permanence guideline states that geocaches should be available for a minimum of three months after publication. Temporary hides are not allowed or published. Quote Link to comment
+Chief301
Also, although it sounds like a cool idea, Geocaches are not generally published on school grounds. However, there's nothing preventing you from creating a cache and handing out the cache info, coordinates, etc. just to the people at the event. A private cache, so to speak, not listed on GC.com. +wmpastor
Awesome. Thanks for the info. I have been getting into geocahe for personal enjoyment. Only problem, its been raining all week July post, so hope the private school event goes/went well. Raining all week? Try an urban cache with an umbrella or a scuba cache under water.
