+hilliardr
Okay, it feels like there should be a way to upload from GSAK to geocaching.com, but I'm not finding the answer. My cous' said that you can do it through a macro one at a time. Seems like a lot of work. Is there an option to upload all my finds at once to geocaching.com from GSAK? If so, how? I've just downloaded the latest GSAK version. Looked through the help, but...not seeing it today. Thanks for your help! Quote Link to comment

+hilliardr
What would you upload? My finds for the day. Instead of entering into geocaching.com one at a time. Quote Link to comment
+Knight2000
What would you upload? My finds for the day. Instead of entering into geocaching.com one at a time. You mean like entering a cookie cutter log for all the caches for a day? Quote Link to comment
+Thrak
You might want to ask Clyde. You can post your inquiry here in the GSAK forums. Quote Link to comment
+N8OFP - Del
This can be done by using a macro, however you can only log one cache at a time. The way I do it is: 1) I use a Palm PDA and Cachemate to log my finds at the cache site. 2) When I get home I sync the Palm and my PC. 3) I have a GSAK macro that will import my finds from the Cachemate backup files on the PC. This includes the Find Date, Find Time, Items traded (Took / Left), Travel Bug info, and any notes I enter into Cachemate. It places the Time, Date, Took Left TB and Notes into the GSAK Notes field, and marks the cache as found. 4) I have a GSAK macro that then sorts all caches marked as found. 5) The macro then cycles through all the found caches and presents me with a form that displays the cache name, GC number, and a text box that has the current notes from Cachmate, I can then add any other comments I wish. 6) Once I an finished entering additional information I click on continue. 7) The macro then does a quick spell check. 8) The macro then copies the Notes to the Windows Clip Board. 9) The macro then opens the cache logging page on Geocaching.com 10) I then select the "Log Type" (Found) 11) I then do a Ctrl + V in the GC.com comments section to paste my notes. 12) I then click on the "Submit Log Entry" button. After this protion of the macro is complete it moves all the found caches from the current database to my Found database. Then it runs the DNF (Did not find) portion of the macro. All the steps are the same as 1 - 12 above. I have logged 30+ finds in less than 30 minutes from start to finish (This depends a lot on how much and how fast you type in each Notes section of GSAK, your internet connection speed, and how fast the Geocaching Logging page opens. I your interested in this let me know. I will help any way I can. Quote Link to comment

+ChrisDen
A very old topic but I still see the need for this. I have solved a large number of puzzles and have the corrected coordinates on a spreadsheet. I have uploaded the corrected coordinates to GSAK using a Macro and also uploaded to the geocaching website as a User Note using a macro. What I need is to be able to add the corrected coordinates to the individual cache pages in geocaching.com The reason for this is that I use the official geocaching app on an iPhone. If you correct the coordinates on the geocaching.com website the the corrected coordinates are shown as a flag in the app for you to navigate to. Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
There is no API call that will do that. You can work off the gsak db. I assume the little yellow triangle shows in the dB that they are corrected. If you want them on your phone you will have to enter them one at a time. Also there was a problem with phones that I don't know had been corrected. The phones defaulted to the original coordinatesif directly accessed and even if you load a pq of corrected it would refresh from the Internet back to original. Not sure that has been fixed. A better place to ask would be the gsak forums. Quote Link to comment
+ChrisDen
Thanks for the help. Looks like a manual exercise. Just for info there is no longer an issue with the corrected coordinates changing back on update. All good now. Quote Link to comment
+londontavern
Coming back to the original poster:- Okay, it feels like there should be a way to upload from GSAK to geocaching.com, but I'm not finding the answer. My cous' said that you can do it through a macro one at a time. Seems like a lot of work. Is there an option to upload all my finds at once to geocaching.com from GSAK? If so, how? In GSAK go to the 'Geocaching.com access' drop down menu and select 'Publish Logs...' Use the fetch and edit options in the 'pop up' window to get the caches into the option form , edit the logs and publish logs. Can't be simpler than that. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Please note, the original thread was started in 2007, prior to the availability of the Geocaching Live! API interface, which makes sending and receiving information between GSAK and Geocaching.com much easier today. Quote Link to comment

If it helps, I'll say "well done good show" for reporting the current correct answer. The OP who asked the question hasn't logged a find since 2007 or visited the website since 2008! Some times it's best to start a new thread. Technology changes are quite dramatic in some instances. Makes an 8-year-old thread obsolete. B. Quote Link to comment
