+ShoesBologna
Was thinking about hosting a local event in Okinawa, Japan IOT celebrate Pi Day. I know that there have been souvenir's in the past. Any thoughts on if there will be one this year? Thanks in advance, SB Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
I'm pretty sure there will not be one this year, just like there wasn't one last year. I think the reason one was created for 2015 is because the Month-Day-Year date format matched the first 5 digits of Pi. 3/14/15 - 3.14159265359 ETA: You might consider having an event on April 13th, for whatever occasion you like. There is a souvenir for a non-CITO event on that date. It's based on a German event for Donnerstag (sp?). Of course, having a Pi Day event could be great even without a souvenir. Rock Chalk
noncentric pretty much covered it. But just to confirm, there will not be a Pi Day souvenir this year. 2015 provided a unique opportunity to recognize that day. Quote Link to comment

Thanks for the info! Though I'd waaaay rather celebrate PIE. Not much of a meat eater. :D Quote Link to comment
