Pi day Souvenir?

Was thinking about hosting a local event in Okinawa, Japan IOT celebrate Pi Day. I know that there have been souvenir's in the past.

 

Any thoughts on if there will be one this year?

I'm pretty sure there will not be one this year, just like there wasn't one last year. I think the reason one was created for 2015 is because the Month-Day-Year date format matched the first 5 digits of Pi.

ETA: You might consider having an event on April 13th, for whatever occasion you like. There is a souvenir for a non-CITO event on that date. It's based on a German event for Donnerstag (sp?). Of course, having a Pi Day event could be great even without a souvenir.

Actually the first "Döner's Tag" event was held on Holy Thursday in Berlin to honour the Döner Kebap (click here).

But just to confirm, there will not be a Pi Day souvenir this year. 2015 provided a unique opportunity to recognize that day.

Seriously? It's a day celebrating meat?! I had no idea, interesting. Thanks for the info! Though I'd waaaay rather celebrate PIE. Not much of a meat eater. :D
