Transferring waypoints from original app

Sorry for this post - I am sure this has been discussed elsewhere but I can't find anything. I was told that a lacky has given a way to find waypoints on the original app to remove before it goes AWOL. I have a few (luckily not many) solved puzzle caches where I put in the cache position as a waypoint, how do I find them, as they are all over the country, in places I planned on visiting?
