+hydnsek
i was wandering if there is a banner for the roadtrip this summer, i cant find any. some help for a beginning cacher. ty Go to your profile page. There's a banner near the top. Or just go here: https://www.geocaching.com/play/promo/roadtrip B. and how do i get the banner on my profile??? sorry for the question but i never placed a banner before, im fairly new to the game Getting it on your profile doesn't relate to caching, it's basic web image grab, edit, post. If it were me, I wouldn't want the entire big honking image on the linked Road Trip page, but maybe just the center postcard part. In fact, I'd use the smaller image that was in the July 13 Road Trip email from Groundspeak. In that case... - I'd right-click to copy or download the image from the email to my desktop' - upload it to wherever I keep my online artwork - note the image URL - use the HTML <img> tag to put it in my profile. If you don't have the email, or can't find a smaller image that you can use as-is, then you can make the large image work for you: -screen-grab the big banner image on the Road Trip page (right-click doesn't let you select the image, alas) - use an image editor app to trim it and size it to what you want - upload the edited image to wherever you post photos online - get the URL for the uploaded photo - use the HTML <img> tag to add the image to your profile Someone else might have a better way, but that's usually my approach.
