+nkroy
In our latest iPhone release available in the store now , we focused on making finding and logging geocaches easier: • The buttons for navigating to geocaches and posting logs—the two most-used actions—are now front and center. • We added easy-to-understand new icons. • Revised language helps eliminate confusion between saving and sending logs. • Log types are now shown in the title bar. We also streamlined a few things: • Additional features have been grouped together in their own menu in the top-right corner. • The new “Found it!” button includes a drop-down menu for other log types. And, of course, no release would be complete without a few bug fixes to help smooth the search for your next geocache. Link to comment
+BBosman
I like the overall changes. One major feature request would be to have a (configurable) option to have the big Log button always submit fieldnotes instead of logs. I always use fieldnotes as I want to type longer logs when I get back home and the option to use them is currently somewhat hidden away. Link to comment

I don't like how the fieldnotes feature is tucked away. Writing nice log's (the only way you have to thank a CO for it's hide!!!) isn't something I want to do on the little screen of my iPhone. I would even say that a fieldnote log should be default behaviour! The way the logging functionality is implemented now encourages the writing of meaningless TFTC or at least short logs. And what would REALY be great is the possibilty to add pictures and trackable drop's to fieldnote log's. Link to comment

Please consider making fieldnotes prominent and with the ability to incorporate photos for later upload. Link to comment

+Thoric67
I agree the other Poster, in thinking, that making Field notes a more populär Place in the UI World have eben the better Choice. On my 1400 founds, I used the possibility to send logs from the iPhone only to send a palmfull of preliminary FTF-logs, to avoid that other FTF hunters run out in vain. This raises shortlogs. The corrected coordinates have had a short reincarnation!? MfG Thoric67 Link to comment
+lennie.BE
Another nice feature would be to have the possibility to exclude the caches with a found fieldnote from the search results. It would make selecting the next target while caching a lot easier, especially in heavily congested areas. Don't get me wrong, I like the app very much! I'm using it for years now and it's worth every cent to me! But I see opportunitys to make it even better! Link to comment
+lennie.BE
In addition I can confirm that corrected coordinates are NOT transferred to the app. Link to comment

Moun10Bike
What happened to corrected coors? They were handled very nicely in the last release. Are they coming back? This is actually an issue with the API rather than the app itself. An API update went out last week that broke this recently-added functionality. The team is working on correcting that. +beemerdon
How do we now access the "Field Notes"? A previous poster asked the question and then said he found the answer on "FB". I tap the Save For Later button but when I send them they log onto the site and I just want to send Finds to my Field Notes like before. Thanks. Don Link to comment

+schallers
I'd LOVE to have the cache-number under my sent logs linked to the cache page! Sometimes I'd like to look for newer logs under a specific cache. and this is only possible by searching the cache new. Link to comment

mud plodders
I'd also like the "Add Waypoint" to be a much easier to find feature. When doing multi's many people don't realize you can add an additional waypoint for each part of the cache after finding the initial clue. When I first starting using my iPhone I skipped multi's as I didn't know there was a way to add waypoints for the next part. Edit: One other thing that would be nice is to be able to set a waypoint as the default coords to go to for a cache. Currently if you add a waypoint, then back out of the map to read the description of the cache or something again, then go back to navigate, it goes back to pointing you to the original coords. You then have to go into the map and select the waypoint your on. I've gone backwards a couple times due to this not realizing what it was doing. Edited June 25, 2013 by mud plodders Link to comment
+Coyle_DK
I would like to see the Field Notes under the Found It drop down menu. Better would be: instead of the Found It menu... I have just send 36 logs, and all of them wend online without going to Field note as usaual. I Cannot find this function for creating Field notes instead, not even if I edit each note.... Why is this gone? PLEASE give me the 6.0 version back. !!! Link to comment
+schallers
Thanks for this latest release of iPhone App I miss 3 things: - to have my Cache Counter present when writing a log (i have to go back to the homepage and the search goes lost!) - to set a default signature to my logs (I like to write my Found#+1 and Time to my logs like #222 @11:34 - it would be very nice to have some possibilities to define a signature) - to have a tab which guides to the last search, so switching between homepage and search would be possible. When I log a cache with the iPhone App, it timestamps the log with the date from yesterday. It is especially anoying these days, where 31 days of geocaching is going on. Hope you can fix it in the next release That's an issue that needs fixing for ages now! The concept of using the timestamp of the device that's used to log a cache instead of the server timestamp seems too difficult to implement for Groundspeak. It's that or they don't care about their users outside the US of A. Link to comment
